This is actually Thursday's post, I'm am running a little behind due to late nights. Did finish packing books yesterday, seems like a small thing but believe me nothing could be further from the truth. That Kindle I want, is starting to look better and better to Rick. Macy was here and she is excited about our move to"the beach", unfortunately I don't think she really has any idea of all that truly entails. Spent the evening with Rachel and Macy at the dress rehersal for Macy's Dance Recital (actual Recital May 1), it was so precious, I spent most of the time balling. We had dinner together and a nice evening. Hence the late night!

Okay, so I missed writing again on Wednesday. It was a pretty boring day running around town, doing errands, meeting people at the storage unit to see some of the furniture for sale. Did finally start to sell some things, now if the rest would go, go, go. Picked up Macy in the afternoon and she helped me finish up with the errands. Spent the evening with her relaxing.

OK, so I'm not off to such a good start, my first week at this and already I missed a day. So I'll write twice today. Maybe it was better I didn't write last night, I was so frustrated. spent two hours at the storage unit for a couple to decide not to buy my entertainment center. The rest of the day was spent running errands, my "favorite" thing to do, NOT. Came home exhausted, the phone would not stop ringing, went to bed in a bad mood and couldn't sleep. Go figure. So far today is much better.

Thank goodness for a day of rest. Don't know if I could make it through the rest of the week without the battery recharge I get from going to church and having a day of rest and regeneration. Spent some time with good friends. Now we're ready to go at it again tomorrow. Gotta pace ourselves, we're definitely not as young as we used to be.

Now it's getting very real. We spent the day packing and moving things into storage. Primarily the things we want to sell first. Posted them on Craig's List and moved them down to Idaho Falls. Living so remote, in Swan Valley, no one will come up here to see things. I'm exhausted, getting way too old for this type of move. Thank goodness for wonderful friends who not only helped us move but then took us out to dinner. Cripe's you are lifesavers. This will be worth it when I'm laying on a white sandy beach~~~Right!

Moving ahead with the move. Today we "finally" rented our storage space. Tomorrow we begin moving things out. It seems like " one small step for the Byrem's, but a giant step in moving us closer to St. Croix. Did find out that our cell carrier, Verizion, has no coverage in USVI (so your roaming at $3.99/minute), so it looks like we'll have to switch before we leave. Details, details, details. I'm getting bogged down with some of these details and am anxious to get on with the move, and walking on the beach, and smelling the salt air and feeling the tropical breezes and warm weather and so on, and so on, and so on. Done with packing and herding details for today, going to sit down, rest and watch Avatar.

This is the boring part~packing. Did you know that it takes 6+ boxes to pack a 3'x6' bookcase? Oh yeah! And those aren't light weight boxes either. Everything has to be packed to be shipped overseas. Everything goes into storage in Idaho for now, but it needs to be packed and ready to be loaded for whenever. Also, have to decide what to keep and what to "garage sale". Some hard decisions, but you can't imagine what a "freeing" feeling it is to shed all but the most essential and most sentimental.

Ok, for anyone who is reading this, it is my jumping off point. I really want to document the "next big Byrem Adventure". For those of you who don't know, we have made a decision and committment to move to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. We will be moving out of our house in Swan Valley, Idaho by the 15th of May and leaving Idaho for the Virgin Islands no later than June 1st. This blog is as much for me as for you, writing it down makes it real! As scary as all of this is at times, it is also amazing how it is coming together. Each day new doors are opening up and helping us along the way. We are experiencing the miracle that "with God all things are possible". Will keep you informed of actual date of departure as soon as we buy our airline tickets. Should be soon!
